NOTE TO REPUBLICANS: PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE DEMOCRAT BEHIND THE CURTAIN
So, big surprise, I am burnt out on politics and I know I’m not the only American who feels this way. Of course, those of us who comprise THE RIGHT…Republicans, Conservatives and the Tea Party, have been put to the test and then some. It seems every day there’s another tactic from the White House, the Liberal-Dems in Congress, the DNC…and it’s been that way long before President Obama officially hit the campaign trail. There is no doubt in my mind it is a brutal time in politics.
But so much of what THE RIGHT has been through could have been avoided. Nipped in the bud the moment the Democrats put their political strategy into motion. Because they do have a strategic plan…a way in which to stop the GOP nominee from winning the election in November. It’s what I like to refer to as the D-D-D plan…Deflect, Distract, Deny. Pretty simple, really. And it’s works!
The most recent example of the D-D-D plan in action would be the fight for RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. I mean THE RIGHT came out swinging. Everybody was up in arms. Don’t touch the 1st Amendment. The clergy spoke out. Catholics Universities, Hospitals and other religious organizations chimed in. But where are we now? It’s been weeks since we’ve heard anyone return to the original issue, the HHS mandate to force religious employers to provide free contraception or “preventative” services to its employees.
But once the Democrats applied the D-D-D plan…Deflect, Distract, Deny…what we ended up with is an entirely different issue that says Republicans have declared a war on women! This should not have happened, only it did because the Republicans have yet to implement a political strategy to shut down whatever “it” is. What Republicans must learn to do this very second is see the D-D-D plan in action, know what phase they are in and what to do about it.
In regards to the War on Religious Freedom, this is how it went on the Democrat’s side:
Phase One is DEFLECT = “This has nothing to do with religious freedom or the First Amendment. Republicans don’t want women to be healthy. They want women to suffer. They want women to die.”
Phase Two is DISTRACT = “Have you met Susan?” Introduction of a female college student, who uses birth control, in order to make their argument more convincing. “See, we told you so.”
Phase Three is DENY = Pay no attention to the “Democrat” behind the curtain. The continued denial that states the new HHS mandate has nothing to do with religious freedom. Nothing to do with the First Amendment. But then the Democrats, like Pelosi, go on to make it a nation debate to declare there’s a WAR ON WOMEN and it’s the Republicans who are to blame.
Now, had GOP political strategists, the RNC, GOP Candidates and everybody on THE RIGHT said from the start when the HHS Mandate was the original issue, “Yo Democrats! Don’t even try to deflect this or put it off onto someone else.” Don’t you know, Democrats would have been flabbergasted? Because Republicans don’t know how to play defense…well. Mostly because they are so worried of what someone will think. Whereas Democrats don’t care one iota about their reputation, they want to win, at any cost.
You want to know the easiest way for Republicans to win battles and the War…tell the truth. Say “Democrats, don’t bother trying to distract us with some side-issue that you more than likely created. Oh, and don’t bother denying what we are saying is in fact truth. This is an attack on Religious Freedom, and you are in violation of denying millions of Americans to exercise the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.”
Understand, it’s about time for the Republican Party to realize that in order for us to control the narrative, to steer the narrative, we have to put the kibosh on the D-D-D plan. You know…someone once said to me, “Democrats are just better at political strategy.” To which I replied, “No. Democrats are habitual.” They do the same thing in every situation, and knowing this when we find ourselves in these national and local debates with the opposition, we ought to tell them we know what you’re doing and it isn’t going to work this time. Then lock-in the original issue and demand answers or action from the president or congress. Take charge, instead of allowing the Democrats to follow through with their plan.
Do we want to win back the White House or not?
