HEY GOP, THE DUCK’S NOT LAME

Well…well…well. Maybe some of you are shocked by the outcome of the Payroll Tax Extensions, which pretty much was the worst one-two punch for the Republicans since…last Christmas! Yeah I know, “I’ve gone and done it now.”

You see I have reason to be a little upset by the turn of events because back in November, I came up with an idea to warn those members in Congress, who comprise the Right, about Democrats pulling a fast one again. So I  created an award-winning video titled Will It Happen Again? (click here to watch) And those who watched it, found it enlightening and said so with tweets and emails. I’m sure you will find it enlightening as well. Dare I say, some of you may even laugh. But recognize “Will It Happen Again?” says in no uncertain terms to the GOP, Conservative and Tea Party Members in Congress, THE DUCK IS NOT LAME. In fact, I would go so far as to say the most Ass-Kicking Duck in America is the one that goes after the Republican Party at the end of the year. The sheer fury of this not so lame duck was felt in 2009 with ObamaCare, in 2010 with Don’t Tell Don’t Ask…and now the Payroll Tax Extension or the 2011 RUMBLE AT THE ROTUNDA.

So again, we end this year with Democrats doing what they do best…making Republicans squirm. I ask is there no one among you who can predict or even guess the Democrats next move? Because I can and millions of average Americans can. You know, the ones who helped Republicans capture back the House in 2010. Only who should we blame this time? Do we blame GOP, Conservative and Tea Party Members in the Senate or the House? Or the Speaker of the House? You know what I think? We should blame all of them. For the simple truth that they have failed to do their job and we are suffering the consequences. But more importantly, WE THE PEOPLE will suffer the most, when the president is re-elected for a second term in 2012. As a reminder, I wrote a political commentary earlier this month about the failure of the Democratic Party to get along, when they split into Southern Democrats and Northern Democrats in 1860, sealing their fate as losers that year. Of course, they lost to Abraham Lincoln, which worked out well for my family in the long run, being a black conservative and all. Special Note: I recommend everyone read The Bigger Picture in Politics, and you can (click here to read commentary).

Also, I wrote another piece to address a serious lack of strategy from the Right when it comes to combatting the Democrats dirty tricks and tactics such as MediScare. In Is the Next Prez a Roll of the Dice? (click here to read the article), I point out that there is no reason for the GOP to be caught off guard in any negotiations. Why? Because the Democrats are habitual in their political strategy. It is the same thing all the time.  I figured that out years ago and you would think by now all the career politicians in Washington would know each other’s modus operandi.

Example, Reid likes to say, “This Bill is Dead on Arrival.”

Pelosi is prone to the ridiculous. “We have to pass the bill to know what’s in it.”

Oh, and who can forget when Schumer said this during the Budget Battle in March of 2011. “[I] always use the word extreme, that’s what the caucus instructed me to do the other week, extreme cuts and all these riders, and [House Speaker] Boehner’s in a box. But if he supports the Tea Party there’s going too inevitably [be] a shutdown.” Of course, Schumer didn’t know he was being overhead by reporters during the call. But it made it pretty clear what the Democrats plan was for Boehner, and it still is if the Payroll Tax Extensions “Battle” is any indicator.

At this point, you probably can see how important it was for me to reach out to those in Congress who represent the Right and shed a little light on their situation. Often times, if you hear from someone outside of the circle, you learn a new thing or two. Unfortunately, Members of Congress are not listening to anybody. Not to us. Let alone each other. Yet I feel the need to try one more time to get through to GOP, Conservative and Tea Party Members in the House and the Senate, plus their political strategists…to please get your act together! Millions of Americans are not happy with your job performance. This is one of the reasons I am taking the time to write this commentary, two days before Christmas. So everyone who makes up the Right has time to reflect and contemplate during the break, if you are committed to staying in this fight until November 2012.  If you understand what is at stake for those of us who believe in God and are not looking to the government to replace HIM. If you understand that there are those on the Left who feel empowered to extinguish Christianity, to do away with the 2nd Amendment and of all things foist national healthcare on us when a majority of Americans don’t want it.

I wonder, do you…GOP, Conservative and Tea Party Members of Congress… understand I sent you to Washington to represent me to the best of your ability. And you’ve caved time and time again. I mean, you can’t even convince me you know what you’re doing. That you have a game plan or the ability to unite and focus on what We The People ask of you, and expect. Where is the commitment to honor your oath, politicians? Or have most of you thrown in the towel and decided to let the president win a second term because the Right can’t and won’t get along? As I always say, there are more leaders on Twitter than there are in CONGRESS.
